OG 11 Outing 02/12: OG Monthly Gathering (February 2012)
@ 12:10 AM

On 20 February 2012, OG 11 had an outing to say goodbye to Dicky before he returns to Australia to resume his final year of University education. This outing was rather smooth going because all 6 of us were agreeable on a date when we planned the outing a week ago. We met at 6pm at the Corcorde and Yuhan was reading her Geography notes, Dickson was reading his book and Xinni was playing games on her handphone. We waited till about 6.30pm until Jieyang and Yingling arrived at Golden Mile Complex and we walked over to receive them.

Yuhan recommended us to a restaurant selling Thai food and we ordered 6 dishes such as Tom Yam, Pineapple rice, Olive rice etc. The first thing we did was to pass Yingling her belated birthday present which we owed her since October last year. We talked about school life and also I talked about my problem with my coursemate on facebook. After having our meal, Xinni gave us some souvenirs that she got when she went for exchange in England. She gave us a replica of The Big Ben and Jieyang thought it was an Eiffel Tower, causing us to laugh out loudly. Even after Yuhan said it was Big Ben, Jieyang pronounced it as Big Bang until Yuhan said 'wth' to him. As Yingling preferred the golden Big Ben then the silver Big Ben that she drew from the bad randomly, I exchanged mine with hers.

After dinner, we decided to find a place to sit down and chit-chat since the restaurant at Golden Mile was too noisy and not conducive for a chit-chat session. As Dickson knows the place around town well, he lead us to a place called 'Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro' around the Bugis area where we had tea and dessert. We sat down and talked about many things from a few private issues and a few jokes that sometimes can be crude but funny. One joke was that when Jieyang asked Yingling where is the Tower of Pisa located, she said that it was in Barcelona, Spain, and we started laughing because it was supposed to be located in Italy. We also started talking about where is Mumbai and Abu Dhabi located and suddenly Jieyang blurted out Abu Dhabi & Fitch which was no link since it was supposed to be ABERCROMBIE & FITCH. Another joke was that when we discussing about Thailand, Yingling suddenly said Bangkok不是被淹掉了meh?, causing us to laugh again. We chit-chat till around 10pm and we walked to Bugis MRT to take the train home.

All the best Dickson in your final year in Australia. Hope to see you in June when you return for the first semester holidays.

OG 11 Outing 06/11: Celebrated Dickson's birthday (July 2011)
Saturday, July 16, 2011 @ 7:57 PM

Dear Elevenies,

This is the OG Secretary again as usual. On 14 July 2011, we had out monthly OG Outing at Raffles City. We were supposed to meet at City Hall MRT at 6.30pm as mentioned by our organiser, Dickson. However, he was late as he had to buy something at Plaza Singapura. Yuhan, Xinni and I were the first to reach and we went to Raffles City as Dickson wanted to eat at either a Pizza outlet (I can’t recall the name of the Pizza stall) or an outlet selling Muslim food. However, as these 2 places are over the budget of Xinni and I, Xinni and Yuhan decided to have Japanese food at Osaka Town. After we were seated at Osaka Town, Yuhan messaged Dickson and he wanted to go to Soup Spoon instead. After Yuhan told him that we were already seated at Osaka Town, Dickson felt that he should have come on time instead. We then ordered our food and Yuhan told us that the lady who served us looked at she had worked at Sakae Sushi before. Yuhan felt that she was a little poor in her service as when we called her to order our food, she did not even acknowledge to say that she has seen us already and she would come to take down our order. Maybe because of this kind of ‘bad’ service, she was sacked from Sakae??

Our food arrived about 15 minutes later and we started to chat. It was a little boring since Jieyang was not with us and Dickson was still on his way. At about 7.30pm, Dickson arrived and he said that he will go to the foodcourt on the 3rd level to have yong tau foo as he would not get to taste yong tau foo when he returns to Australia. When Xinni heard that Dickson wanted to go foodcourt, she told Dickson that he should have said it earlier as she was on a budget. Moreover, the meal tasted a little lower than average as the chicken that Xinni was eating was not cooked well – the chicken was like half cooked and we felt that our meal did not worth the money. After our meal, we went up to the foodcourt and Yuhan felt that she was like ‘cheated’ as she would have had Pepper lunch had we ate at the foodcourt instead. Dickson’s yong tau foo costs only $4.80 and we spend about $15 on our meal which we felt was not worth it. Not long after, Jieyang arrived and we told him this LONG STORY on why we ended up at the foodcourt.

After Dickson had his meal, we went to the Basement to have dessert. Khia Peng arrived and she had not eaten her dinner. As she does not have enough cash on her, she asked around the eateries at the Basement and most of the eateries only accept cash instead of Nets. We then accompanied Khia Peng to withdraw money. However, we were so engrossed in our conversation that the rest of us lost sight of Khia Peng and Dickson. Dickson called Jieyang to find out our location. After Khia Peng withdrew some cash, the 4 of us went to the Basement to buy drinks while Dickson accompanied Khia Peng to the foodcourt. After ordering our drinks at the Basement, we went up to the foodcourt and chatted. We talked about our hairstyle, our Chinese characters (as in I taught that Jieyang ‘yang’ was 羊 when in fact it should be 阳, Khia Peng’s English name if translated from Teochew was supposed to be Khia Pure?? Which Jieyang immediately say ‘Tan Khia Pure’ and everybody laughed). We also talked about how Dickson added us on Google+ and in the end no one he added was informed, wasting one precious hour of his life. We talked till about 10pm at the foodcourt. After we came out from the toilet, we presented to Dickson a 红包 for his birthday. Khia Peng contributed her precious 1 cent coin which is considered rare nowadays since 1 cent coins are no longer in use. We then walked to the MRT and made our way home.

While in the MRT, I remembered that we forgot to take a group photo and also we did not give Dickson a cake for his birthday. Hope that Dickson would not mind. Otherwise, we will celebrate his belated birthday in December together with Jieyang when he returns from Australia. On behalf of the entire OG, I would like to wish Dickson a happy 22nd birthday. 生日快乐,身体健康。All the best in your studies in Australia and we will see you again in December. We wish that our beloved member Yingling will get well soon from her eye infection. We hope to see you in next month' OG outing.

OG 11 Outing 05/11: Celebrated Khia Peng's, Xinni's and Yuhan's birthday (June 2011)
Saturday, July 2, 2011 @ 3:41 PM

Hi Elevenies, this is the OG Organising Secretary again.

On 29 June 2011, Dickson organised an outing for OG 11 to celebrate the 21st birthdays of Khia Peng (7 May), Xinni (3 June) and Yuhan (28 June). We were supposed to celebrate Yanho’s birthday as well. However, he is now in Germany. We were supposed to go to a dim sum restaurant at Outram Park. However, as the restaurant is currently undergoing renovation, Dickson finally managed to book a table at Ah Loy Thai at Shaw Towers. We met up at 6.30pm at Bugis MRT and made our way to Shaw Towers. We followed Jieyang but he led us to the wrong exit and we had to walk a longer way to Shaw Towers. Huixin went straight to Shaw Towers and Dickson was late as he had to collect the cake.

At the restaurant, we sat in the way such that the ‘regulars’ set together and the ‘not-so-regulars’ set at another table (the 3 tables are joined together). As this outing had 9 people, there were 2 conversations going on. We chit-chatted till about 8pm and we went to Suntec City to sit down to sing the birthday song and to continue part 2 of our outing. As it was drizzling outside and the fact that Jieyang and I were wearing formal clothes, Yingling felt that it might be too hot to sit outside as there was also no air-conditioning. We sat at a quiet corner where there were few people walking past to give out presents and eat the birthday cake. We bought 2 books for Yuhan (even though she expected one), a wallet for Xinni and a notebook for Khia Peng. We continued to chit chat and laughed a lot. When we were about to go home, we asked not one but two people to help us take a group photo as the first person did not zoom in when taking the photo. The second person who helped us to take the photo was better. (Photos will be uploaded soon)

After we took the group photo, we packed up and went home. Huixin left us first as she took a bus from Suntec while the rest of us walked to Esplanade MRT and took the MRT home.

For July’s OG outing, we are celebrating the birthdays of Huixin (1 July) and our beloved OGL Dicky (11 July) before he returns to Australia. Hope we can have the same number of people in this coming outing as we had in June or even more.

OG 11 Outing 04/11: Celebrated Joshua's Birthday (April 2011)
Wednesday, April 20, 2011 @ 3:41 PM

On 16 April 2011, Yuhan and Jieyang organised an outing to Fish and Co Glass house at Dhoby Ghaut to celebrate my 21st birthday. We planned to meet up at 5.30pm so that we can talk to each other longer.

At 5.30pm, I was the first one to reach followed by Jieyang. Yingling was at tcc studying and she came down to the MRT to meet us with her boyfriend. However, her boyfriend left as he had something on. After waiting for 5 minutes, Yuhan arrived and we told Xinni to go straight to Fish and Co glass house. When we arrived at our destination, we were fortunate to have a seat that was able to accommodate 5 of us and we started to order our meal. After ordering our food, Yuhan wanted to pass me my birthday present but I told her to wait first as I was not prepared for any tricks like they did last year in which they placed Jieyang’s ez-link card in my birthday present. After I prepared myself for any tricks that they might have, I accepted the present that they gave me – which was a voucher at G2000 which I can use to buy any clothes. The only setback is that I have to buy the clothes by the end of May as the voucher will expire at that time. Anyway, thank your guys for the unexpected ‘angbao’ present.

After our meal arrived, we started to eat and I knew I am going to take quite some time to finish my meal since I was very talkative on that day and the portion was quite large. We talked a lot of things which I forgot already and one person kept on countering what I said. It was quite a fun time. There was a funny incident that happened. A waiter asked us about something in which we did not ask for. However, the other waiter beside him knew that he was asking the wrong table and did not bother to let him know about it. The waiter felt quite embarrassed after he knew that he had asked the wrong table. Another incident was that, we told the waiter that the cake we ordered was meant to celebrate my birthday. However, the other waiter did not hear what he said and served the cake onto our table, leading to another embarrassing incident among the staff.

I did not expect to stand on the chair and all the waiters and waitresses started singing my birthday song. I was quite embarrassed as there were many people in the restaurant having their dinner and they all turned to look at me. After saying my wish, I had to blow the candle that was quite a distance from me. Fortunately, I managed to blow the candle after 2 to 3 tries and the celebration was over. I expected that there would be a celebration for me but not to this extent. Anyway, would like to thank the OG executive committee for organising the outing.

After our meal, we went to Plaza Singapura to shop. We went to the clothing shops to have a look at some of the clothing that were on display. After some shopping, we went to a dessert shop to have dessert and we talked about some stuff which is classified as OG secrets. Haha =). As the dessert store was about to close at 10pm, we got ready to leave and we went to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.

I would like to thank the OG especially the girls for celebrating my birthday even though their university exams are around the corner. The objective for the next OG outing would be to celebrate Khia Peng’s birthday in May before Yuhan leaves for Thailand on 13th May. As Yingling has exams going on in early May, she will not be coming fir the next outing.

All the best to those taking their exams in the coming week. Please eat well, drink lots of water and have a good night sleep the day before your paper. I hope you all can spend your time well such that you can complete the syllabus you are required to.

OG 11 Outing 03/11: Monthly OG Gathering (March 2011)
Wednesday, March 16, 2011 @ 12:17 AM

Hi Elevenies,

On 15 March 2011, Dickson suggested that we go to Holland Village and Yuhan organised this outing. The funny thing was that the person who suggested is in Australia and unable to attend the outing. Anyway, thanks Dicky for the suggestion.

We planned to meet at Buona Vista MRT and go to Holland Village at 6.30pm. However, at the eleventh hour, Yingling, Khia Peng and Huixin could not make it for the outing and in the end, only Jieyang and I met up at Buona Vista MRT. Even though I had a bad sore throat, I still come for this outing since the attendance is already quite poor. We took a bus from Buona Vista MRT to Holland V. Yuhan was already at Starbucks as she was studying with her friend. Jieyang and I waited for Yuhan to finish her discussion and after a while, Richard came and the 4 of us went to ‘Everything with Fries’. Fortunately, Yuhan already reserved 6 seats so we were lucky as we did not need to wait to be seated. After waiting for another 10 minutes, Xinni arrived and we started to order our food.

After we ordered our dinner, we started to chit-chat. However, as my voice was bad, I did not talk much. We waited for about 30 minutes before our meal arrived and we were wondering whether the restaurant has enough plates since there were a lot of people around and they were not leaving. When we wanted to ask a waiter why our food was taking so long, Xinni’s meal arrived and Jieyang joked that we have to wait for another 30 minutes before the next meal arrive. One by one, our meal arrived and my meal was special as there were 2 plates – one for the spaghetti and the other for the fries. It seems that there were not enough plates as my spaghetti was in the plate meant for the appetiser. As the portion was quite big, we took a long time to eat finish and we talked and gossip a lot. The only person missing was Yingling otherwise, the outing would be more exciting.

After our meal, we went to an ice-cream shop opposite Holland Village and Xinni and Yuhan ordered ice-cream while the guys see them eat. There was a joke about some lighter thingy where I need to disguise myself if I were to buy a lighter and also when I light a lighter, I need to wear gloves. The entire group laughed quite loudly. About 10pm, we left the ice-cream shop and Xinni took a bus back to NUS while the four of us took Richard’s new car to Bishan. Thank you Richard for the ride to Bishan MRT and hope you like the ‘overdue’ birthday present that the OG gave you for your birthday.

The next outing would be organised by Yingling since she said she will make up her absence by organising next month’s outing. Anyway, hope my voice can recover soon so that I can tell you all more stories. LOL. Moreover, do not forget, someone’s birthday falls in April and you all know what to do ah? =)

I also updated the OG 11 Exco appointments in the outing history. Don’t mind take a look.

OG 11 Outing 02/11: OMG Deals - Coronation Plaza (February 2011)
Wednesday, February 16, 2011 @ 2:45 PM

Hi Elevenies,

On 15 February 2011, OG 11 went for an outing (aka CNY Outing) to eat Japanese food for $28 for 1.5 hours organised by Jieyang in support of Hazel’s project. As Yuhan end school at 5pm and could only reach Newton at 6pm, we change the meeting time from 5pm to 6.30pm. After Dickson, Xinni, Yingling, Yuhan and I reached Newton MRT, we were told that Jieyang had to send Hazel home first as she was feeling unwell after a talk on Investment at NTU then go home to put his car then take a bus from Newton MRT.

As Dickson was quite good in road directions, he guided us to the destination which we found out was Coronation Plaza which I should have drove there since it is a 15 minutes drive away from my house. When we reached the Japanese restaurant, we asked for permission whether we can sit down in the restaurant and the restaurant staff allowed. We were waiting for Jieyang and grumbling cos we were very hungry and we still had to wait for him. We decided to order our meal at 7.30pm since Jieyang is reaching soon. When Dickson was ordering the meal, the waitress kept asking Dickson to read out the actual name of the dish rather than the number representing the dish 4 times. Dickson got a hard time pronouncing the name of the Japanese dish. Yuhan was pissed off with the waitress for the bad customer service and we were thinking that the staffs there was treating us like dirt since we are not paying the full buffet package which was $38 for 4 hours.

After a while, Jieyang arrived and he was in formal attire. We complained to him of the bad service by the waitress. When the food arrived, I got a shock as we ordered 20 over dishes. In the end, we got a hard time finishing them as we did not expect some dishes to have such a large serving. In the end, we were unable to finish the food and some waitresses kept gossiping about us ordering so much and unable to finish them. In the end, we forced ourself to finish the food by putting some of the dishes on our plates but did not eat them. While Yingling was eating, the air-con water leaked onto her arm and into one of the dishes. Yingling complained to the manager about this and rejected one of the dishes. At 9pm, after we finished our meal, we left the place and at the same time, making fun of Jieyang by thanking Hazel to get this deal so that Jieyang can treat us. Haha. After the meal, Yingling thought of joining her friends at Timbre for her Valentine’s Day outing with her friends but being a GOOD OG member, she stayed with us to have dessert.

We went to a dessert shop opposite Coronation Plaza to have our dessert. Dickson ordered ice-cream cake while the girls ordered ice-cream. After chatting for 30 minutes in the shop, we took a group photo and we went home. The girls and boys split up. While the guys were walking, Khia Peng called Dickson saying she was bored and whether he can spend some time with her. Jieyang called Yuhan whether the girls would like to join Kp and Dickson at Nex for karaoke. However, as the girls have school the next day, they did not join us. After some deliberation, Jieyang and I preferred not to go. Jieyang alighted at Toa Payoh. At a bus stop along Braddell Road, the bus stopped for around 10 minutes as there was a drunkard on the bus. In the end, Khia Peng reached Nex earlier than Dickson. When Dickson and I reached Nex, Dickson went to meet Kp while I went home.

All the best Dicky in your studies in Australia. Hope to see you back in June in time for your birthday. Maybe I will celebrate me 21st birthday in June together with the Dickson, Huixin, Yanho and Yuhan since the girls would not be free in April as they need to prepare for their Year 2 examinations.

OG 11 Outing 01/11: Celebrated OG 11 4th Anniversary (January 2011)
Thursday, January 20, 2011 @ 12:17 PM

Hi Elevenies,

On 16 January 2011, OG 11 celebrated our 4th Anniversary with an outing to Sentosa. Yingling, Yuhan and Jieyang met up earlier at 2.30pm to buy drinks. At 3pm, Khia Peng and I arrived and we met Yingling and Yuhan at a food store outside Giant in Vivocity. We then went up to the Sentosa Monorail station to wait for Xinni and Dickson. After waiting for 10 minutes, Dickson arrived and we took a group photograph. After waiting for another 5 minutes, Xinni arrived. Dickson and I thought that we have to buy the tickets to get onto the train. However, Yuhan told us that now we can use out EZ Link card to enter the Monorail.

When we arrived at Beach station, we went to take the tram to Siloso beach. After placing our bags under a coconut tree, we started playing ultimate Frisbee and I was the photographer. (You all can take a look at the photos in my Facebook). Khia Peng played Frisbee as though like playing in a competition and she in order not to allow the Frisbee to hit the ground, she fell down into the sand. Dickson was also playing very seriously and almost trip and fall when preventing the Frisbee from hitting the ground. The score between Yuhan, Yingling, Jieyang and Dickson, Khia Peng and Xinni was tied at 2-2 and we decided to take a rest as we were feeling exhausted after less than 10 minutes of play.

After resting we decided to go into the water. Yingling said she wanted to play water captain’s ball. Dickson, Khia Peng, Xinni and I formed 1 team and Jieyang, Yingling and Yuhan formed another team. The score for this match ended 2-2 and we set in the water playing some games like murderer and there was 1 time where the 6 of them except me held hands and started drifting further away from the shore. After drifting for like 10 metres, it was becoming too deep and it seems like Xinni was about to drown cos her entire head was under water. As Yingling and Khia Peng felt an itch at their leg area due to some biting from some sea creatures, we stepped out of the water and had some snacks. After we chit-chatted for about 20-30 minutes, I decided to stay behind to look after their bags as there were some ‘suspicious characters’ around.

After the rest came out from the water we went to the toilet to wash up and the girls took faster time to change than the guys. We then walked to the tram station but there were so many people that Xinni and Jieyang were unable to board the tram. Xinni and Jieyang than walked to the Beach station and they were faster than the rest of us who took the tram. After we reached Vivocity, Dickson recommended us a place around Bukit Merah where his NS colleagues would usually go to for lunch. We then took bus service 100 to the hawker centre and we decided to eat tze char. We ordered 8 dishes – fried rice, lor mee, hor fun, stingray, shellfish, kang kong, clam and fried chicken. In the end we could not finish some of the food as we ordered a little too much. After taking a group photo, we then go took a bus home as the girls have to go to school the next day.

OG 11 Outing 13/10: Celebrated Jieyang's Birthday (Dec 2010)
Thursday, December 30, 2010 @ 5:26 PM

Hi Elevenies,

On 29 Dec 2010, Yuhan suggested going to Marina Barrage to have a picnic and to celebrate Jieyang’s birthday. As we wanted to catch the 11am bus at Marina Bay MRT, we decided to meet at 10.40am at Marina Bay MRT. However, Jieyang and I were late (we took the same train and were late together) and Yingling and Yuhan got a bit annoyed as we are minutes away from catching the 11am bus. We rushed to the bus stop and fortunately, when we reached the bus stop, the bus just pulled into the bus bay. When we reached Marina Barrage, we went to the roof top and we booked a good spot. After 5 minutes, Khia Peng and Dickson arrived and we started to lay out all the food to have our lunch. As we were hungry, we started to have our lunch first while waiting for Xinni to arrive.

Yingling brought honey chicken, Yuhan cooked pasta, Jieyang fried ham and Hong Kong sausage, Khia Peng cooked fried rice, Xinni brought seaweed chicken, Dickson brought 2 bottles of drinks and some tidbits and I brought utensils and 2 bottles of drinks. At about 11.50am Xinni arrived and we had lunch together with her. As usual, I have has a lot of stories this time since I just came back from Thailand and gained a lot of experience. I talked about my Thailand trip, my experience in the KTV during my NS Cohesion and also I just bought a car. When I was telling stories, the entire OG was very interested to hear and asked a lot of questions until Yuhan has to ask them to keep quiet so she can hear what I was talking about. All the issues that I mentioned will not be shared in this post. We were more careful of the flies this time and kept a lookout for any flies that wanted to land on the honey chicken which looks extremely delicious. After finishing the main course, we got a hard time thinking how to cut the chicken as we do not have any knife. As such, we decided to use our hands to peel the chicken. Khia Peng preferred chicken wing and breast, Yingling took the drumstick if I am not wrong and we shared the chicken till the chicken looks like it had been tortured. LOL.

After lunch we decided to play a card game where each player will pick up a card and with the number he picked up will have to carry out an act, ask a question, rule card or an action card. There was even a toilet card where no one in the game can go to the toilet unless they managed to pick the toilet card. Whoever did not follow the rules or follow someone holding an action card will have to drink a sip of water. We also played some guessing game where you have to guess a pattern based on a few examples. Yingling got a hard time understanding the black magic game and Dickson got a hard time understanding the dark horse game. Dickson also took a long time understanding some Maths puzzle game. I will not be going through how to play the game in this post. Can ask Yuhan or Yingling if you want.

We then went to fly our kite since the weather became quite windy. As Jieyang boasted that he was in the kite CCA when he was in secondary school, we asked him to control the kite. We were 50% successful as the purple kite managed to fly quite high but the disappointment was that the other kite was too heavy and could not fly at all. The ‘stubborn’ kite even hit someone when it came crashing down. Yingling and Yuhan was very happy flying the purple kite but Jieyang and Khia Peng was trying to make the heavier kite fly but it was a big failure. I was busy taking photos and Dickson was guarding our valuables. As it was about to rain, we went back into the shelter and continued to play card games.

During the game we played a game which involves a polar bear, hunter and some villagers including a narrator. Khia Peng also introduced to us a game which involves 2 spices, an agent and a narrator. As I am not so good in all these games, I kept causing either the spices or agent to lose. I think I am more suited to be the narrator if we play this game again. As Dickson needs to meet his parents, we took a group photo and we started to pack up. We then took a shuttle bus to Marina Bay MRT and along the way we discussed OG 11 4th Anniversary where it will be held this coming Sunday 2 Jan 2011 which will be a late night event. The outing for January will also be held on the evening of 16 Jan 2011.

May all the Elevenies have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

OG 11 Outing 12/10: Outing to Shaw Tower & Bugis Junction (November 2010)
Wednesday, November 17, 2010 @ 4:05 PM

Hi Elevenies,

I can’t remember what we talked about as this outing was a few days ago but I will try to place the more important points that happened in the outing in this post.

On 13 November 2010, Jieyang organised an OG gathering and Yingling suggested that we go Ah Loy Thai in Shaw Towers to have our dinner.

We met up at Bugis MRT at 6pm and Jieyang and Yuhan has already reached Bugis. We waited for Yingling for about 10 minutes as she missed a bus and when she arrived, we went to BHG to shop while waiting for Xinni. The girls went to the ladies section while Jieyang and I lingered around the men’s section and Jieyang was very interested in a sweater and tried it on. While trying on the sweater, Xinni arrived and we made our way to Shaw Towers. While walking to Shaw Towers, we kept commenting on Jieyang for the reason for wearing a singlet for this outing. We asked him whether Hazel would mind if he wears a singlet when going out with him.

When we arrived at Shaw Towers, we wanted to go to Ah Loy Thai but the place was about to close and has stop taking orders already. We then decided to have our dinner at Creation. After we sat down, the waiter took our orders and we waited Joanne to arrive. After our soup arrived, the waiter told us that Fish and Chips were sold out and we thought that after they have served the soup and told us that our orders has sold out it would cause us to become turn off from continuing having our meal. After waiting for a short while, Joanne arrived and we started having our meal. Yuhan commented that her seafood dish got some funny sort of smell like the smell of raw food. While eating, Jieyang inquired whether the piece of meat was beef or chicken as his religion forbids him from eating beef. After confirming with the waitress that it was chicken, I think he felt more relieved. Lol.

After having our meal, we went to shop around Bugis Junction. The girls went to a shop selling nail polish while Jieyang and I waited for them. As we felt quite boring seeing the girls trying the nail polish, we decided to go our way to shop. Jieyang and I went to some shop selling clothes and he tried on some shirts but they were too big for him. At about 10pm, we decided to make our way to a dessert shop across Bugis Junction. As I am having a cough, I did not share the dessert with the rest but had ice-cream instead. We took some photos when we were having our dessert and Yuhan took a few sorts of Jieyang. However, 1 thing we forgot is to take a group photo before we left at about 11pm. Moreover, we also forgot to at least sing a birthday song for Joanne since November is her birthday.

A suggestion is that we will celebrate the OG members birthday every 6 months – once in Jan when we have our anniversary (for members whose birthdays fall in January to June) and once in July when we celebrate Dickson birthday (for members whose birthdays fall in July to December) – as these 2 occasions confirm no one will forget and confirm got birthday cake and birthday song. Moreover, these 2 months we have got higher attendance as compared to the rest of the months in the year. Please consider this suggestion. Thanks

OG 11 Members present: Joshua, Jieyang, Yingling, Yuhan, Joanne, Xinni
OG 11 Members absent with apologies: Shiqi, Wanling, Melissa, Khia Peng, Yanho and Richard.

OG 11 Outing 11/10: Celebrated Yingling's and Melissa's Birthday (October 2010)
Sunday, October 10, 2010 @ 2:01 PM

Hi Elevenies,

On 9 October 2010, OG 11 met at Plaza Singapura to celebrate Yingling’s and Melissa’s birthday. Moreover, Jieyang brought his girlfriend (Hazel) along for the outing and we welcome Melissa who joined us for this outing. We met at 6pm at Dhoby Ghaut MRT and Jieyang, Hazel and Yingling reached first followed by myself and Melissa. As Yuhan forgot about Yingling’s present, she had to go back home to collect and she was late for the first time. As this time we have decided on the place to have our meal, we went to Pastamania and there all the gossip started.

Jieyang was the spotlight of the night as Yingling and Yuhan kept making fun of Jieyang until his face became so red like it is going to explode anytime. Jieyang’s present for Yingling is to bring Hazel along and she kept asking me about my new criteria. They also kept teasing me and Melissa and we also talked about our past outing since I can remember most of the outing since we knew each other in 2007. Huixin called Jieyang and Jieyang told her not to come since we are leaving for Timbre anyway. We also found out that Hazel’s birthday coincidentally falls on the same day as Melissa.

After our meal, we proceeded to Timbre and when we saw the number of flights of steps that we need to climb up to Timbre, our legs turned to jelly since we have to climb up 9 flights of steps (more than 100 steps). After climbing up all the steps we were panting away and when we reached Timbre we had a seat straight away as I already booked the seat in advance. However, as no one wanted to order anything or have too many choices but not sure which want to order, we decided to do a very embarrassing thing which is to stand up and leave the place. I wanted to order Sprite which cost $6 and everyone laughed as we can get a bottle of Sprite for slightly more than $1 at Mac. I also joked with Yingling that since she doesn’t know what drink to order, she should buy everything and she said she would if I pay the bill. Everyone started asking me to treat them and I told them I might to do next year April but not now. When Yuhan turned the menu she said the menu has a strong smell and Melissa could smell it as well. However, when Jieyang smelt it at close range, he still could not smell the smelly smell coming from the menu and Yuhan said that maybe Jieyang smells the same as the menu that's why he can't smell the smelly smell from the menu. Hazel also went to smell the menu but also can't smell the smelly smell and Yuhan say maybe Hazel is too use to Jieyang smell that's why she can't smell it also. LOL. We waited for about 10 minutes and when no waiter was looking we stood up and faster made our way out of the place.

We climbed down the 9 flights of steps again and decided to proceed to Plaza Singapura Mac and chit chat there. Richard smsed me saying that her had something urgent to attend to and unable to meet us for the outing. We ordered ice-cream while Yingling kept bugging me on my criteria for my girlfriend. Yuhan told me that the girl that you will be together usually will not fit my criteria and Jieyang say Melissa will change her character because of me. I don’t understand why they kept gossiping of I and Melissa? I hope the case last year will not repeat itself and I also hope you all can stop making fun of me. While Jieyang was ordering the cake for Yingling, Xinni arrived. Jieyang then started to tell everyone that Xinni has found someone she liked (her bf that is). As Jieyang and Hazel have to go for their class outing, we decided that it was time to go home and I passed the Melissa's birthday present contributed by the OG to her and we left Plaza Singpura at about 10.15pm.

Hope that Melissa can continue to join us in subsequent outings since the number of people has been very low this year. Moreover, hope that Yingling can bring her boyfriend in the next outing so that Jieyang birthday wish can be fulfilled. LOL.

Yuhan suggested to have a gift exchange this year where we will draw lots and buy a present of about $5 to $10 for a specific person in December. All the best to those in NUS as they are taking their exams next month. Next month outing I will leave Jieyang to decide.

OG 11 Outing 10/10: Celebrated Richard's Birthday (September 2010)
Sunday, September 19, 2010 @ 12:19 PM

Hi Elevenies,

on 18 September 2010, OG 11 went to Vivocity to celebrate Richard's birthday. At about 6.45pm, we met up at Candy Empire and we decided to go to Sushi Teh for our meal. However, when we reached Sushi Teh the queue was so long that it would take about half an hour for our turn to get a table. We decided to queue while Yuhan and Yinglign went to look at some shoes. After 5 minutes, Xinni joined us and we decided to go to other place to have dinner instead since the queue was not moving.

After looking at some restaurants, I decided to go to the same place which we went before - 'The Mussel Guy'. When Jieyang passed the restaurant, he decided to ignore the waitress since last year when we went to this place, the waitress ignored him when he asked for our dessert. Since the place was not crowded, we immediately got our seats and ordered our meal. During dinner, Jieyang was the 'star guy' as he nowadays has more phone calls than before and we kept making fun of him. There was once when Yingling asked about our dessert and since Jieyang could not hear what the dessert name was, he just told everyone that is was going to be a Spanish dessert since the name of the dessert was very chim.

After our meal, Jieyang decided to buy mooncake and we went to the first floor. We waited for Jieyang at the side while he ordered his mooncake. After ordering the mooncake,we went up to the top of Vivocity to talk. While we were chatting, there was fireworks from Resorts World Sentosa and we saw some people running towards the fireworks as though they have never seen fireworks before in their life. The air was cool and I hope that Jieyang's mooncakes would not melt. I also talked about things which got no link and everyone laughed since it was becoming boring as we got nothing to talk to. As Richard has something on, we decided to leave since it was quite late already.

While on the train, I met with Jieyang's friends since they were going to Hougang for bowling. The next outing will be to celebrate Yingling's birthday. The tentative date is currently 9 October. More updates will be released soon.

OG 11 Outing 09/10: Treat for Regulars (August 2010)
Saturday, August 21, 2010 @ 6:50 PM

Hi Guys,

This month got no description as what we talked on that day is a secret. lol

OG 11 Outing 08/10: Dickson Farewell Outing 2 - Regulars (July 2010)
Thursday, July 29, 2010 @ 10:53 PM

Hi Guys, Here is the OG secretary. Just a brief summary on the outing we had on Sat 170710. We met up at Shaw Towers near Bugis and have our lunch. However, as Jieyang had tuition, he did not join us for lunch and Dickson, Yuhan and I went to have Thai food for lunch. After our lunch we went to Bugis Junction as Dicky needs to buy some stuff for his Uni mate in Australia. We then meet Jieyang at Cold Storage and as Jieyang wanted to buy a watch for himself, we went to Orchard to find a suitable watch for him. We went from Heeven to Takashimaya to Ion Orchard to CK Tang and even Wisma Atria. Dickson then left us to have high tea with his parents. However, all the watches were still not suitable for him. We then went shopping around Ion Orchard and I found out that the 3rd and 4th story is only for high class people as the things there are rather expensive. Around 6pm, Yuhan met up with Guan Li and they left in a cab while Jieyang and I went to meet up with Dickson. We continued to find a watch and we felt that it would be best that Jieyang finds a watch for himself alone. Jieyang then went to City Hall while Dickson went to Lorong Chuan as he needs to attend his friend birthday while I went home.

Dickson, on behalf of OG 11, I would like to wish you all the best in your studies as you embark in Semester 2 of your first year. We also wish you good health and strength. Study hard and play hard. Will meet you in Novemeber when you return for your long break.

OG 11 Outing 07/10: Celebrated Dickson, Huixin, Yuhan and Yanho's birthday (July 2010)
Monday, July 5, 2010 @ 1:53 AM

Hi Elevenies, here is your OG Secretary.

On 3rd July 2010, OG 11 met up at Dickson’s house to celebrate the birthdays of Yuhan, Yanho, Huixin and Dickson.

The OG Regulars met up earlier at 4pm at Bugis MRT to buy presents for the birthday boys and girls. We were supposed to meet at Bugis MRT at 4pm but somehow Jieyang was late for 25 minutes and made Yingling and I so fed up that we both wanted him to buy us drink. Yuhan will meet us later at Bugis as well so we decided to buy her present first.

The first shop we went to was a shop selling necklace and we thought of buying one for Huixin. However, we decided to see other things first before we make any decision. We also thought of buying biscuits for Dickson as a present at first but we wanted to see more before coming to a decision. When we reached a shop (I usually remember shop names) selling clothes and handbags Yingling thought of buying a dress for Yuhan as that dress fits Yuhan so much. We also pondered whether to buy her a handbag. As we do not know which colour Yuhan likes, Yingling called her and finally we got her a grey colour handbag. After that we went to a shop selling Domo items and other soft toys and decided to buy Dickson a Domo slipper and also bought a notebook for Huixin. Now left Yanho – What should we buy for him? We pondered on several items like a T-shirt, I-phone cover and a small bag. We then decided to buy a watch for him and we use the size of Jieyang’s wrist to roughly measure the size of Yanho’s wrist.

After buying all the presents, there was still time and we went to MacDonald’s to have ice-cream. After our ice-cream we went to take a MRT to Toa Payoh. When we reached Toa Payoh MRT, we saw Dickson (such a coincidence) and we went to say Hi to him. Jieyang then drove his car from his house to the bus stop near Old Chang Kee and we took a short trip to Dickson’s house. When we reached Dickson’s house, Khia Peng was already there waiting for us in her Suzuki Swift and Yanho was already in the house waiting for us. After placing our belongings in Dickson’s room, we went to have our dinner. While we were having our dinner, Joanne arrived and luckily there were some dishes which she can eat since she is a vegetarian. During dinner, I thought that the plate of fruit was Honeydew but it was in fact apple with mayonnaise and got scolded by Yingling (Always get scolding from her).

After our meal, we went up to Dickson’s room and we started to chit-chat until Yanho suggested playing a special type of Titi. To our shock the cards were cartoon pictures of human in erotic positions. As I am not the type who plays card games I did not play the game and was busy counting money. Joanne left us early as she had something on and Huixin and ‘took over’ her. Huixin just came as she was catching the NDP Preview at Padang. As the World Cup between Argentina and Germany was starting, we presented the presents to the birthday boys and girls and decided to cut the cake in Dickson’ room instead of at his dining area. Dickson was a little confused when he took the cake in that he broke his GIGANTIC lighter.

When the match was in the 3rd minute, Germany scored the first goal and I screamed ‘GOAL’ and everyone became so excited. Everyone became distracted and decided to sing the last verse of the birthday song only. Everyone was screaming when each team was about to score and Khia Peng was so happy that her ‘Banana’ goalkeeper from Germany save quite a few shots in the first half (The goalkeeper was wearing yellow and he seems like a banana from far). When we were watching, Yuhan asked which team was in black and which team was in blue. Jieyang then insulted her saying that we watched the match so long and you still not sure. Then he told Yuhan that the man in red was the referee and not a third team playing on the field. During the second half, we were so worried that we will miss the last bus that we kept on checking the SBS Transit website. Khia Peng was so happy that Germany was about to score that she screamed a little loud. She asked Dickson whether her screaming will disturb his neighbours and he told her that he would bring his neighbours to her if they complain about her noise. After the match ended 4-0 in favour of Germany at 11.45pm, we took a group photo and left Dickson’s house.

On behalf of OG 11, I would like to thank Dickson for his warm hospitality and also for preparing dinner for the OG.

This outing is quite interesting as it is the first time that I watch football with friends. Hope that subsequent outings will be as fun as this one. There is no one’s birthday in August and I hope we can still meet up.

OG Members present: Dickson, Yingling, Yuhan, Jieyang, Joshua, Joanne, Huixin,
Khia Peng and Yanho.
OG Members absent with apologies: Wanling, Shiqi, Xinni and Richard.

OG 11 Outing 06/10: Visit to Singapore Flyer (June 2010)
Tuesday, June 22, 2010 @ 2:42 PM

Hi Elevenies, this is your Secretary here again reporting on our outing in June 2010.
On Saturday, 20 June, we were supposed to meet at the Flyer for an outing. However, as 20 June was also the same day that Dickson returns from New South Wales for his holidays, Khia Peng and Jieyang met up with Dickson at Plaza Singapura while Dickson was waiting for his parents. I decided to go to Plaza Singapura to meet him. When I reached Plaza Singapura and met up with Dickson outside Yamaha, we took some photos and chit-chatted while waiting for Yuhan and Yingling. Dickson gave us some donuts that were from Australia.

Yuhan and Yingling called and the 4 of us went down to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT to meet them. We chit-chatted for about 10 minutes and I kept getting scolded by that Yingling for changing the venue without informing her. After a while, Dickson parents called him and he left. We then took the Circle Line to Promenade MRT. In the train, Yuhan said that Jieyang owed her $2 as Jieyang got the word ‘Dhoby ‘for ‘Dhoby Ghaut’ wrong. After reaching Promenade, we walked a further 5 minutes to get to the Flyer and luckily we found a place in the corner of the restaurant even though the place was very crowded at that time.
We then went to order our meal and while we were having our dinner, we saw some fireworks and Jieyang and I kept glancing back to see the fireworks. As Jieyang was so fascinated with the fireworks, Yuhan asked him to turn his head backwards for 10 minutes so that he would miss the next flash from the fireworks and Jieyang told her his head would be able to turn back to the original position already if he does that. We also chatted on some Korean pop star.

After our meal, we went to the amphitheatre, and decided to hear my stories. As there was a millipede crawling behind Yingling, Khia Peng asked her, “Are you afraid of bugs?” and immediately after Yingling turned behind, a grasshopper was spotted on Khia Peng and all of us stood up. Yuhan also took a photo of the millipede (See Yuhan fb for pictures). After hearing my stories, Khia Peng gave me a lot of advice which I found it very useful for my future. Thanks a lot. We also discussed about our experience during our TP. After chatting until about 10.15pm, we ate the donuts that Dickson bought for us from Australia. At about 10.45pm, we decided to go home and Jieyang took the NS line, Yuhan took a bus home while Yingling, Khia Peng and myself took the Circle Line.

The next outing will be at Dickson’s house on the 3rd of July to celebrate the birthday of Xinni, Yuhan, Yanho, Dickson and Huixin. Hope that we can have more people for this outing.

Also thank you Elevenies for giving me the encouragement to pass my TP Test.

Elevenies present: Dickson, Jieyang, Joshua, Yingling, Yuhan and Khia Peng.
Elevenies absent with apologies: Xinni, Yanho, Shiqi, Joanne, Wanling, Richard and Huixin.

OG 11 Outing 05/10: Celebrated Khia Peng's Birthday (May 2010)
Sunday, May 23, 2010 @ 12:02 PM

Hi Elevenies, here is an update of the outing we had on 22 May to celebrate the birthday of our beloved Khia Peng whom we did not see since August last year.

On 22 May, the regulars was supposed to meet up earlier at 5.30pm to buy Khia Peng’s present. However, I came late and got scolded by Yuhan as she has to wait for nearly 20 minutes since I thought the OG will always come late for outing. We went to a shop thinking of buying a Winnie the Pooh soft toy so that Khia Peng can place it in her car. However, the shop we intended to buy from does not have the soft toy and we thought of buying an air refreshener for Khia Peng. Jieyang took the air refreshener and after smelling it, dropped it onto the floor and the cover of the air refreshener came off, much to the dismay of the salesman. The salesman picked it up and Jieyang felt so guilty wondering whether he needs to pay for it. After that, we decided to buy a solar energy ‘plant’ for Khia Peng where it leaves will move when there is sunlight. After paying for Khia Peng’s present, we went to Sukiya and waited outside while waiting for the rest to come.

Khia Peng thought she would be late but who knows she was the first to arrive and after her, Yanho and Xinni turned up. When Yanho turned up, he asked us whether we like to drink alcohol and Khia Peng thought it was the German way of saying hello. Everyone was okay with it except Xinni who doesn’t quite like alcohol. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we were finally ushered to our table and we started our dinner. During the dinner, there were times that no one was talking and there were times that our table was quite noisy. Khia Peng scolded Jieyang for being stupid as he placed the meat in the steamboat and did not look out whether it was already cooked. I became and secretary cum servant as I need to go and refill the food. When Khia Peng and Jieyang said ‘er-hem’ means I have to go and refill the food. Yanho ate quite fast and stopped eating for a while then continue to eat so as to clear the wastage.

As Huixin has already eaten, she joined us at about 8.30pm and waited for us to finish our ice-cream. After we paid for the meal, we went outside of Marina Square and started to chat. Yanho showed us the ‘nice’ photos he took while he was in Germany and Khia Peng was quite interested in one of them and zoomed in on photo. Yanho also told us some the incidents that took place while in Germany and he almost entered a gay club. Khia Peng also told us about her clubbing story at Butter Factory which gave me an insight of what is happening inside a club. We also talked about what we will do if we found out that our boyfriend/girlfriend was cheating on us. I also told them about my dream and Khia Peng was quite interested to hear it, keeping wanting to find out more.

At 10.15pm, we left Marina Square. Jieyang and Huixin went to meet their JC classmate; Xinni took a bus home while Yuhan, Khia Peng, Yanho and I took the MRT home. This outing I felt was quite fun and Khia Peng was the main star yesterday. Yingling did not come yesterday as she was sick. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHIAPENG.

The next outing would be to celebrate Xinni’s birthday which falls on 3rd June and I propose to hold the outing on 5th June rather than wait till the end of the month when Dickson comes back since I got duty on the last week of June. For Yuhan, Yanho, Huixin and Dickson's birthday, we can celebrate together on the first week of July.

OG Members present: Jieyang, Joshua, Yanho, Xinni, Yuhan, Khia Peng, Huixin
OG Member absent with apologies: Shiqi, Joanne, Wanling, Yingling, Richard

OG 11 Outing 04/10: Celebrated Joshua's Birthday (April 2010)
Sunday, April 11, 2010 @ 11:04 AM

Hi Elevenies, this is the secretary again.

On 100410, OG 11 had an outing to celebrate the Secretary's birthday and this outing is the first time that Dickson is not around with us. There were some last minute changes to the venue and we decided to meet at Marina Square instead of at Shaw Towers near Bugis. At 7pm, when I reached Marina Square, I was wondering aimlessly around the place and I decided to view of the exterior of Marina Square and saw that the landscape has changed due to the construction of Marina Bay Sands. However, the place there has good scenary no seats to sit and admire the place.

At 7pm, I met Jieyang at Macdonalds and he brought me to Yuhan and Yingling. After a discussion on where to have our dinner, we decided to go to Waraku. When we reached Waraku, the place was packed and we waited outside for our table to be ready. After a lengthy thought of what we were going to eat, Xinni arrived and we ordered our dinner. 5 minutes later, Jieyang's meal arrived and Yuhan said that he ordered 'Fastfood' since it is served 'fast'. Yuhan had difficulty eating as her bowl was extremely big - but the serving is only half the bowl. After all our meals and drinks arrived, Yingling food still has not reached and after some clarification with the waiter, her meal was served to her but the meal was don instead of the udon that she requested - maybe the guy who took our order heard wrongly or something. Never mind, in business the customer is always right and Yingling's udon was served to her.

After our meal, the OG started to ask me question like - 'what do I see in the girl who will make me like her?'. After saying all the qualities, the OG gave me my present - which was a black T-shirt. The funny thing is that Jieyang place his EZ Link Card in the present and it makes me wonder what does the present got to do with the EZ Link Card? Jieyang please let me know the significance of this - I still don't understand maybe because I am a outlier. lol. After singing my birthday song, I made my wish and Jieyang went to poke the bubble while I was making my wish. This causes me to joke about him oweing me money if I did not do well for my test on 19 April.

After having our cake, we went to the arcade and we saw one guy very determined to get that bear and he spent quite a lot of money - almost 20 tries till he was successful. This causes me to think if a girlfriend ask a boyfriend she wants the teddy bear, will you try it a million or billion or trillion times to get it for her? After that we went to try out the games such as the car racing game and some tapping game. Jieyang was the big winner yesterday as he won both the car racing game (twice) and the hand tapping game.

After playing, we decided to walk back to the MRT Station to go home since it was already 11pm. The next OG outing will be to celebrate Khia Peng's Birthday. Hope she can come for the next outing so that we can celebrate her birthday since we did not see her since August 2009. OG 11 Outing 03/10: Dickson Farewell Outing - Regulars (February 2010)
Wednesday, February 17, 2010 @ 9:37 PM

Hi all Elevenies,

As Dickson will be leaving us to go to New South Wales to study, the regulars decided to have an outing on 120210 (Friday)for his farewell as well as to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Yuhan decided to go to Minds Cafe for this outing as we can have our meal and play board games simultaneously. Yuhan, Guan Li, Jieyang and I met up at Bugis Junction to buy a present for Dickson. As we do not have time to prepare a very nice present for him, we decided to buy for him his beloved 'Domo'. We went to a shop and bought for Dickson two 'Domos' that he can place around the strap of his bag, a 'Domo' key chain and 3 notebooks that contains 'Domo' on the front cover. After shopping for Dicky's present, we went to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station and Jieyang wrote a message to Dickson in one of the notebooks that we gave him. After Jieyang finished writing his message, he went to find Dicky while the rest of us wrote our message.

After writing Dicky's message, we proceeded to Minds Cafe to have our meal and games. After ordering our meal, we first played a game (I am not sure what the name of the game is) where we have to remove the sticks and prevent the monkeys which are hanging on the sticks from toppling onto the table. In the end Jieyang got the most number of monkeys that dropped onto the table and he loses the game. We played many games but I am not sure how to describe these games. Maybe someone can help me to describe the games we played. After playing the games, it was already 11.30pm and we have to rush to catch the last MRT. Luckily, the NEL was still operating and Dickson and I went to Serangoon MRT, Yuhan and Guan Li also managed to catch the last train on the NSL. However, Yingling missed her train and she had to take a bus home. Thank you Yingling for the Valentine's Day Present.

On behalf of OG 11, I would like to thank Dickson for being such a good OGL and leader of OG 11. We also would like to thank him for co-ordinating the logistics part during birthday celebrations. Hope that Dickson would be able to adapt to life in Australia and we look forward to seeing him in June when he comes back during his vacations. Hope Dickson would do well in his studies in NSW.

OG 11 Outing 02/10: Chinese New Year Outing (February 2010)
Saturday, February 6, 2010 @ 10:49 PM

Hi Elevenies, here is the OG secretary.

On 6 February 2010, OG 11 celebrated our 4th Chinese New Year celebration. At 3pm, we met up at Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza and we started to have the dim sum buffet. When ordering the food, Dickson was a little 'gan cheong' and he dropped his chopsticks onto the floor. About 25 minutes into our meal, Huixin came and I brought her to the restaurant. During the buffet, one of the waitor rang the bell and the almost all the patrons (including some army boys) started to queue up for the ice-cream, causes Yuhan to take a picture of the queue that was forming at the ice-cream point. There was once when Yingling asked the China waitress, 'Excuse me, can I have 'feng chao' and 'pai gu'? ' and the waitress replied, 'feng chao' and 'pai gu'as she doesn't understand the English words but only the Chinese words. This causes Yingling to suggest recording down the voice and let Dicky use it as a ring tone when he goes to Australia. Dickson then says if he was sleeping and he hears Yingling's voice, he would drool when he sleep and think of this 2 sets of dishes in his dreams.

At 4pm, Yanho joined us after he went to renew his passport as he would be leaving for an exercise in Germany. When Yuhan showed the photo of the people queueing up for the ice-cream, Yanho replied, 'What's wrong?' which causes Yuhan to say that Yanho would be like those army boys to rush for the ice-cream. Yanho started to act weird as he acted to be like someone from Tibet and he talked about consumerism and the Westerners. There was a little 'argument' between Yanho and Yuhan about consumerism when Yuhan said eating is also consumerism but Yanho argued that eating is indispensable. After the meal at 5pm, we went to shop around Thomson Plaza while waiting for Jieyang to pick us up from NYJC as he is helping out in the Pujilistics society. While waiting for Jieyang, we went to a piano shop and Yanho started to play the piano like a pro. We found out that his piano was grade 8!!!!. We then went to Popular bookstore to browse through the items there. Yanho was so captivated on a book that he read it until Jieyang came. Huixin went home to get her laptop as she had some work to do.

When Jieyang came, he took us to Dickson's house. After Dickson gave us some drinks, he went to 'torture' Yingling with his bolster which he has kept for 18 years. Yingling was like suffocated by Dickson as whatever she smell was smelly. Huixin then joined us at 7.30pm. We started to play Polar Bear and after video watching on the Chinese New Year version on Poker Face and a video where Ris Low was criticised in a song ' 12 days of Ris'mas'. After that we heard some songs while the OG members started to play with games on their I-phone. At about 10pm, we went down to have yu sheng and we went to watch a drama on Channel U. After the drama, we went back to Dickson's room to play cards and also to discuss the Valentine's Day outing. We played some card till about 12am and Jieyang fetch us back to our home. However, on the way back, Yingling forgot about her laptop and we had to go back to Dicky's house to get back her laptop. OG 11 would like to thank Dickson for the yu sheng and Jieyang for driving us back to our home.

The details of the outing would be finalised but the date would be next Friday, 12 Feb 2010. Yuhan would be the organiser for the Friday outing. Details will be finalised soon and sent vis sms and e-mail.

OG 11 Members present: Dickson, Jieyang, Joshua, Yingling, Yuhan, Yanho and Huixin
OG 11 Members absent with apologies: Joanne, Wanling, Shiqi, Richard, Kexin.

OG 11 Outing 01/10: Celebrated OG 11 3rd Anniversary (January 2010)
Sunday, January 10, 2010 @ 11:02 PM

Hi Elevenies, here is the OG Secretary.

On 9 January 2010, OG 11 Had an outing to celebrate her 3rd anniversary at Kallang Leisure Park. We were supposed to meet at Kallang MRT at 5pm (since the shuttle bus going to Kallang Leisure Park would leave at 5.30pm and we were afraid that since we have a reputation to be late, Jieyang suggested that we meet up at 5pm). At 5pm, Xinni followed by Yingling then Shiqi and Yuhan came and we went to the Leisure Park by public bus instead of the shuttle bus that we had planned to take. During the bus ride to Kallang Leisure Park, Yuhan told us about her long story when she was at Mauritius with her Uni friends.

When we reached our destination, we met up with Richard whom we did not see since 1st anniversary and while waiting for Dicky and Jieyang to finish with the logistics segment of the outing, the girls went to play some arcade games such as basketball and some 'hand-torturing' game which I am not sure what the name of the game is about while Richard and I chit-chat. After the arcade game, we decided to go to 'ri ben chun' to have our dinner. After waiting for about 10 minutes for Dicky and Jieyang they arrived and we started to order our dinner. In fact, our dinner would not have arrived of Yuhan did not ask the waitor to collect our orders from the basket.

Yanho joined us during dinner and when he saw Richard, he thought that Richard was Jieyang's friend. During dinner, we chatted a lot and there was even a name calling in a foreign language which was in fact a vulgar word. As the girls ordered a big bowl of dessert and Huixin has already reached Kallang Leisure Park we asked Richard to go and accompany Huixin since the girls will sure take a lot time to finish their dessert. After the girls finished their dessert, we went down to meet up with Huixin and we started to ice-skate.

Everyone started to ice-skate except myself who was at the spectator stand taking photographs for the OG when they were skating. Dicky camara suddenly ran out of battery and Yuhan used her camera instead to record the OG when they were ice-skating (the videos can be found in her facebook if you want to see them). As Yingling is a beginner, Jieyang and Yuhan held on to her hands, however, there was one time when she fell and both of them fell with her. Yanho ice-skate as though he was like walking in the ring while Richard and Huixin were the more experienced ones. Shiqi, Xinni, Yuhan, Jieyang learned fast even though they may be beginners. As Yingling, had blisters on her feet, she doesn't want to play anymore and I played for her for about 20 minutes. It was a good experience though. We decided to leave the skating ring as they had to resurface the ground.

After ice-skating, we decided to cut the cake at Burger Kings. As this birthday is to celebrate out 3rd anniversary, we sang the birthday song very softly and before we could make a wish, Jieyang went to blow out one of the three candles. We also discussed what to do for the next outing which would be held on the 6th of Feb. Shiqi suggested to have some high tea near Chinatown. Richard had to book in and he left us first. Yanho and Yingling then left us and the rest of us took 16 (except Xinni and Shiqi) to City Hall MRT. Everytime we come to Kallang Leisure Park, we have a rare person coming: First was Jiamin then now Richard. Hope next time some rare people will join us when we go to Kallang Leisure Park.

OG 11 News: Dickson will be leaving for New South Wales on the 21st of Feb and Yanho will be leaving for Germany for some exercise at the end of February. Dickson will be back in end June and Yanho will be back in June. OG 11 wish them all the best when they are overseas.

Happy 3rd Anniversary and may all Elevenies have a Happy New Year 2010.

OG 11 Outing 17/09: Celebrated Jieyang's Birthday (December 2009)
Monday, December 14, 2009 @ 6:05 PM

Hi Elevenies, this is the OG secretary.

On the 5th of December, OG 11 had an outing to celebrate Jieyang's birthday organised by Dickson at Marina Barrage. However, we did not have presents to give him as we did not have the time. We met at Marina Bay MRT Station at 10.30pm and we took a shuttle bus to Marina Barrage.

When we reached our destination, we took a few photos and we walked up a long winding slope. At first, we wanted to have out picnic along the walkway, but a security guard told us not to and we had out picnic at a little shed.

After setting up the mat, we started to have our lunch. The picnic was prepared by Yingling (chicken) and Dickson (egg) who woke up early just to prepare the meal given the fact that they only slept 2 hours the night before.Full credit to them. Dickson also bought some tidbits for this picnic like potato chips, lemon biscuits and some drinks. (I can't remember what we talked about and whether did Yuhan prepare the meal. Dickson pls update). While we were having our meal, it started raining but since we were in the shelter there was no problem. After finishing the meal, we started to play card games like tai ti (I don't know how to spell it). Even though I was new in this game, I was the top three for the first few rounds but due to some wrong decisions and being inexperience in this game, I dropped to the last position.

After playing the card game, we decided to play Indian pokka where the person who receive the smallest card number have to finish some food. However, there was this stupid large fly in the container which contains the chicken and thus we have to throw away the entire container since the chickens were contaminated. In the end, we only had to finish the lemon biscuits which Dickson brought and after a few round of Indian pokka, we finished the lemon biscuits. Before leaving the place, the drinks started to have a funny taste. Maybe it could the temperature that causes the drinks to turn bad.

As I need to pack my belongings as I am going overseas, I left the OG while the OG went to Kallang Leisure Park. Dickson please continue.

The next outing would be a Christmas cum 3rd Anniversary celebration on the 2 January 2010. Hope that this outing would have more people turning up as in this outing, only the regulars and Guan Li came.

OG Members present: Dickson, Jieyang, Joshua, Yingling and Yuhan.
Guest member: Guan Li
OG Members absent: Xinni, Yanho, Joanne, Wanling, Huixin, Shiqi, Khia Peng.

OG 11 Outing 16/09: Celebrated Yingling's Birthday (October 2009)
Sunday, October 11, 2009 @ 9:53 PM

Hi, guys. This is the OG secretary again.

On 10 October 2009, OG 11 had an outing to celebrate Yingling's birthday at Dickson's house.

As Dickson had high tea at Orchard Road, we met up slightly later at 6.45pm istead of the usual 6pm. The first to arrive was Xinni, followed by Yanho, myself and the main party which comprises Dickson, Yingling, Yuhan and Jieyang(who was supposed to be early but came late as he met up with Dickson at Toa Payoh. We then went to the coffee shop opposite Dickson's house to have our dinner. While we were eating Huixin and Wanling were directed by Dickson to the coffee shop that we were having our dinner. During the dinner, Wanling was curious and took a look at the plastic bag which was placed in front of her and Jieyang told her that the thing in the plastic bag was not meant for her to see. So direct lor. They came at the same time but from different directions - so quite coincidental. Huixin told us that Richard would come and the whole OG thought that Richard was Huixin's boyfriend.

After having our dinner we made our way to Dickson's house and we asked Yingling to go outside the room for a while while we get ready her present which was a piggy bank and we were supposed to each bring $3.50 worth of coins to place inside the piggy bank. We were quite naughty and also stuff newspapers in it to show that the piggy bank was full. Wanling and Xinni also tied a ribbon around the piggy bank which was a good idea. After Yingling came in, Yuhan took a good picture of Yingling with her piggy bank which is a unique present since this is the first time that we gave each contributed money. Usually we contribute money to pay for a present. Since Wanling does not have a cake last month we bought for her a birthday cake as well.

After singing the birthday song, we played some pokemon games which was so confusing that I did not play the game. Another thing was that the room was too narrow so not fair for me to join in the game since we need to put out hands at the centre for the person which has 4 similar cards to beat us. They played another type of game and the loser have to kiss me. (I hoped you all can stop playing fun of me I don't find it very funny - I was quite angry but I control myself to tell you all frankly). After the pokemon Dickson's mother offered us some snacks and we played Indian pokka. Only 1 round so not very fun and Jieyang lost the game as he kept on exchanging the card which was of a lower number.

We started to play blind mice. Dickson found a shaw and Jieyang was the first to blindfold himself. The boys got caught more times then the girls. I got fed up that yingling was 'undefeated' in this blind mice game. So I decided to 'sacrifice' myself to catch Yingling. I knew that Yanho was on the computer as there was a change in the music but I didn't want to catch him. I also knew that Jieyang was lying on the side of the room near to the cupboard but I also purposely didn't want to touch him. Then the next thing knew I touched someone - and luckily my dream came true it was Yingling. It was MY LUCKY DAY. Yingling was defeated for the first time. We decided to call it a day and we took some group photos which were quite well taken. Before going back, Yanho and Yingling got into a fun 'fight' and both of them kept throwing Dickson's toys and pillow at each other. Yanho looks and violent which seems to me like he was angry with Yingling even though they were just playing around. I taught that Yingling would be angry at Yanho in the way he was so violent when he threw Dickson's pillow at her which causes me to think (only): Can Yingling's temper be overcome with violence?

We went back at about 11pm.

The next outing will be on either 14 or 21 Nov to celebrate Joanne's birthday and it will organised by Jieyang. Suggestion: Dickson, can you don't mind upload the photos on facebook instead of mediafire as placing it on mediafire would take a long time to download.

Just to clarify something: I got something that I want to ask you all. Do you all find me very disgusting? In fact I felt that some members are treating me this way already. I FEEL VERY INSULTED . You guys are my closest friends. Pls treat me properly . So sorry but I have to say this.

OG 11 Members present: Dicky, Jieyang, Joshua, Yingling, Yuhan, Yanho, Xinni, Wanling, Huixin.
Highlight of the day: Yanho dared to throw Dickson's toys and pillow at Yingling which is quite unusual since he is a quiet person.

OG 11 Outing 15/09: Celebrated Wanling's birthday (September 2009)
Sunday, September 27, 2009 @ 11:06 AM

Hi Elevenies,

On the 26th of September, OG 11 had an outing to celebrate Wanling's birthday (for the 1st time) where the place to celebrate Wanling's birthday was organised by Yingling. We met up at Bugis MRT at 6pm (this time most of us came on time) as we want to start early since Jieyang has to go back to camp to perform guard duty. (Next time in order to have everyone come early, Jieyang must say he has guard duty lol). We then walked to the steamboat buffet shop and waited for the 'Guest of Honour' - Yingling to arrive.

After Yingling arrived, we started the meal. This shop has a very funny policy as in we have to pay the money based on the nuber of chopsticks - so Yuhan suggested that next time we bring our own chopsticks and only ask for 3 chopsticks so as to share the cost. Yingling kept on asking Jieyang to take MC but Jieyang doesn't want if not nthey have to activate another guy which he felt was not morally right (maybe if Yingling is the gf he will straight away report sick to get MC). We started to put all the food into the steamboat and I told Yingling about how she was admired by the boys in my department in my unit when they went into my facebook to have a look at my photos. Yingling felt so honoured but Jieyang say the boys in my department was from the Visually Handicapped school which means that my friends 'xia le yan' to say that Yingling was beautiful and Dickson say they were all blind. Yingling felt like pinching Dicky and Jieyang. Wanling also taught Jieyang how to break the eggshell and Jieyang learned fast.

Dickson then drop some food into the steamboat too high and almost splash the soup on Yngling's face. Then I remembered my friends saying that Yingling's face 'bao yang de hen hao' no wonder one of them say he likes her and wants me to introduce her to them. He was also so interested when another guy started talking about her and he put down his PSP and joined the conversation. Then Yingling say she has very high expectation and not so easy to win her heart.

After eating the 'general' food, we started to have seafood (crab and prawns was the main dishes) and everyone started to rush for the crab. A typical Singaporean is such that they will rush for things that is free for all and would not care about how others feel or think of them. We then gave Wanling her present and this Jieyang like going to switch to army mode liao and ask Wanling to change. The rest of us thought that his motive was for Wanling to change on the spot in front of him. This month would not have birthday cake but next month we will have the birthday cake for both Yingling and Wanling at the same time.

As Jieyang has to go for guard duty we left the buffet shop and he took a bus back to Nee Soon Camp. We then went back to Bugis Junction where Yingling and Yuhan bought some flip flops for their friends. We then went to Mos Burger to sit down to chat and Yingling took a very cute photo of Wanling from behind the plastic bags. Both Yuhan and Yingling read each other's SMS and we thought they were SMSing each other when they were sitting beside each other. Xinni kept touching her nose and Dicky told me it was like going to drop out lol. When we were walking back we saw a lot of 'free' things like bread, chair, cloth and even the MRT door as the shops do not have shutters.

Yingling and Xinni took the MRT going to the East side. Yuhan and Wanling took the North South line and Dickson and I took the North East Line home. The next outing will be held on the 10th of October at Dickson's house to celebrate Yingling's birthday. Hope that more Elevenies can come for the next outing so that Yingling can feel honored. haha

OG members present: Dickson, Jieyang, Yingling, Yuhan, Joshua, Xinni and Wanling (birthday girl)
OG members absent: Khia Peng, Yanho (overseas), Huixin, Shiqi, Joanne, Shihao, Jiamin and Kexin
