OG 11 Outing 03/10: Dickson Farewell Outing - Regulars (February 2010)
Wednesday, February 17, 2010 @ 9:37 PM

Hi all Elevenies,

As Dickson will be leaving us to go to New South Wales to study, the regulars decided to have an outing on 120210 (Friday)for his farewell as well as to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Yuhan decided to go to Minds Cafe for this outing as we can have our meal and play board games simultaneously. Yuhan, Guan Li, Jieyang and I met up at Bugis Junction to buy a present for Dickson. As we do not have time to prepare a very nice present for him, we decided to buy for him his beloved 'Domo'. We went to a shop and bought for Dickson two 'Domos' that he can place around the strap of his bag, a 'Domo' key chain and 3 notebooks that contains 'Domo' on the front cover. After shopping for Dicky's present, we went to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station and Jieyang wrote a message to Dickson in one of the notebooks that we gave him. After Jieyang finished writing his message, he went to find Dicky while the rest of us wrote our message.

After writing Dicky's message, we proceeded to Minds Cafe to have our meal and games. After ordering our meal, we first played a game (I am not sure what the name of the game is) where we have to remove the sticks and prevent the monkeys which are hanging on the sticks from toppling onto the table. In the end Jieyang got the most number of monkeys that dropped onto the table and he loses the game. We played many games but I am not sure how to describe these games. Maybe someone can help me to describe the games we played. After playing the games, it was already 11.30pm and we have to rush to catch the last MRT. Luckily, the NEL was still operating and Dickson and I went to Serangoon MRT, Yuhan and Guan Li also managed to catch the last train on the NSL. However, Yingling missed her train and she had to take a bus home. Thank you Yingling for the Valentine's Day Present.

On behalf of OG 11, I would like to thank Dickson for being such a good OGL and leader of OG 11. We also would like to thank him for co-ordinating the logistics part during birthday celebrations. Hope that Dickson would be able to adapt to life in Australia and we look forward to seeing him in June when he comes back during his vacations. Hope Dickson would do well in his studies in NSW.
